Positivity in Life

Or negativity…it is up to you.

Think about a time where you have had positivity in life, where you had a goal, and knew you had the skills to get there. Now think about a time where you were negative in life, did you even try to reach your goal at all? There is one simple word that differentiates positive people from negative people… Belief. Not only belief in yourself, but the belief that whatever goal it is, is within your reach.

The Power of Positivity

In order to understand the power of positivity, we must understand how negative energy affects someone. Negativity leads to stress and worry because you are unsure about an action you must take, or a goal that you have set for yourself. It is a disease in your brain that breeds procrastination or completely forgetting about your task as a whole. You may have no reason to feel negative, and this is common in everyone. But no matter what, there is always a way to get out of it. I believe there is no better way to make a positive person than teaching them to embrace uncertainty. Teaching them deep down that life is full of uncertainty. The difference is, those that succeed, dive headfirst into the water, fully knowing that they don’t know what the actual h*ll is going on.

Personally, as I grow older, my positivity in difficult situations grows more and more. Might I mention that this has been a slow process because there isn’t a switch that automatically gives you the super power of positivity. Anyways, this is the result of looking back on my life in situations that seemed difficult but I ultimately got through them. This in turn, gives me confidence and positivity if that situation were to ever arise again. Something that I always remember comes from David Goggins (a retired Navy Seal) and he calls it a cookie jar. He says that whenever you think you can’t do something, pull one of your cookies (past accomplishments) and use it’s positivity to keep going.

I will say, sometimes it is utterly impossible to show positivity in certain situations, and that’s okay. But always trust that reasons to be positive are around you, find them.

Thank you

Have a great rest of you day, afternoon, or night!
