This Workout Tool Is Simple
This generator is intentionally simple for both of our sakes.
There are a million complicated fitness apps out there that have logins, subscriptions, progress trackers and remind you when you skip leg day (I do that too).
In reality, you just need two things:
- A workout
- The time of day
So instead of building some big fitness platform, which I don’t currently know how to do, I made this.
These Are Effective Workouts
I’ve been working out for over 10 years, and the exercises included here are movements I’ve personally done or still regularly include in my own workouts.
There’s nothing magical about a specific workout routine. What matters most is showing up consistently and putting in the effort.
This generator simply gives you a solid place to start and potentially come back to so you can spend less time thinking and more time training.
Workout Generator FAQs
Yes. Most of the exercises included in the generator are common movements found in beginner and advanced workout programs.
If you’re new to lifting, start with fewer exercises and focus on learning good form before worrying about heavier weights or longer workouts.
Yes, a lot of my workouts are done at home with a pull-up bar and dumbbells. If you select bodyweight or dumbbells as your available equipment, the generator will build workouts that can easily be done at home.
This makes it useful whether you’re working out in a full gym or just trying to get a quick workout in your living room.
That mostly depends on how much time you have.
3 exercises works well for a quick workout
6 exercises is a solid standard gym session
8–10 exercises create a longer workout
I like to superset all my workouts but there’s no perfect number. The most important thing is staying consistent and actually doing the workout.
